Tea infusions

Teas are prepared with drinking water. They are not intended to last long rather for immediate consumption. Here, the prescribed amount of drugs - roughly cut into loose tea, or finely cut tea bags Š is either submerged with boiling or hot water and then left to stand, covered over a period of time (5 to 15 minutes). Then the mixture is passed through a sieve (= strain). Some drugs cannot withstand the heat, so cold water is used instead and it is left to stand for much longer (several hours). Tea infusions can be sweetened.
