Mother tincture

Mother tincture is a homeopathic drug preparation, in which the fresh plant is extracted with a suitable liquid, usually alcohol (= ethanol) at a certain concentration. Mother tinctures are prepared by the homeopathic pharmacopoeia (HAB) and are used as a starting material for homeopathic dilutions, which used in homeopathy.
